Save The Sea Turtles International (STSTI) is a nonprofit organization established in 1988 in response to the need for the preservation and conservation of sea turtles in Hawaii. STSTI historically helped educate the community, monitor local populations along Oahu’s north shore, and held beach cleanups on a weekly basis to remove plastic, fishing line, and entanglement hazards from coastlines around Oahu. All board members are active Honu are recognized as a notable conservation success story, and as their populations have begun to rebound the goals of the organization have grown to encompass various forms of marine life that are all connected and interdependent. STSTI is proud to partner with Water Inspired Conservation Group and One Ocean Conservation to support conservation efforts of other threatened marine life, and continue STSTI’s mission with monthly reef and beach cleanups on the island of Oahu.
